Projects and chats, made for your phone

Press and hold any project, piece of work or message for its actions, swipe your conversations, pull down to refresh, and the assistant now sits right on the keyboard.

The assistant's app icon

We went through Projects and the assistant on an iPhone, tap by tap, and took the friction out.

Projects

  • Press and hold a project or anything in it for the same actions as its ⋯ menu: rename, move to a project, share, delete and more.
  • Find a project by name and sort by activity or name, right above your projects. New project is a round folder button at the top, and its Create button sits on the keyboard.
  • A project's page keeps Back, its name and its actions in one bar at the top while you scroll. Add and Ask sit side by side, a thumb's reach away.
  • Pull down at the top of Projects, a project or Unassigned to read them again.

Chats

  • In the assistant's sheet on iPhone, the message box now sits right on the keyboard, with no strip of the page in between.
  • Swipe a conversation left to delete it (with Undo) or right to pin it; press and hold for Rename and the rest. Pinned conversations stay at the top, and a new one is one tap away.
  • Press and hold any message to copy it, read it aloud, share it or try again. Under answers these are icons, and holding one names them.
  • Suggested next steps scroll sideways in one row, code and long links wrap, and the box grows to six lines before it scrolls.

The assistant's button

A clearer glass disc with a fine coloured rim and almost no glow. Its network breathes quietly, moves with a steady rhythm while it works, and a new suggestion shows once, without nagging.
