On your phone, your work now waits at the top of the screen
On a phone the activity island sits right in the top bar, like the Dynamic Island, and stays there on every page while your pictures, videos, songs and exports are being made.
Start something that takes a while, then go wherever you like. On your phone a small black capsule appears in the middle of the top bar, where the page's name was: the tool's icon on one side, how far along it is on the other. It never sits over Back or your buttons, and it no longer covers the page.
- Tap it, or press and hold, and it opens into a card with every task: a bar, the time left, Stop, and what you can do next.
- Swipe up or tap anywhere else and it folds back into the top bar.
- Two things at once? It splits in two, with a count for the rest.
- When one thing is done, a tap opens it.
- It stays with you on every page, even inside editors, Social and the assistant, until the work is finished.
- With Reduce Motion on, it simply fades, and your phone doesn't buzz.
