Sculpted parts and quicker 3D builds

Build in the 3D studio now makes a whole model in one go, shapes curved things like car bodies, chair shells and vases as smooth sculpted parts, and frames the result so you see it properly.

Ask Build for one thing, a sports car, a lounge chair, a pair of headphones, and it now designs and builds the whole model in a single go, then looks at it from three angles and fixes what's off. It's quicker and costs much less than building step by step, and our tests scored it as well.

  • Sculpted parts: smooth, curved shapes made from cross-sections, for what boxes and cylinders can't do well: a car's body and glasshouse, a moulded chair shell, a character's head, a headphone band, a vase that twists as it rises.
  • Still yours to edit: a sculpted part keeps its sections. Pick one in the inspector to change its size, roundness, taper, bend, twist or flutes, add or remove sections, or make it an editable mesh.
  • Framed properly: after a build and after each fix, the camera points at the model so it fills the picture, and an oversized ground is cut down to fit.
  • Check and fix for everyone: it runs after every build, up to two rounds, 40 credits a round and only when it fixes something.
  • Most builds are now 85 credits. Big scenes, rooms, whole buildings with their insides, several things at once and animations still build step by step.
  • Sculpted parts export to GLB, USDZ and STL like everything else.
